Since 2004, he has been creating architectural wooden models by hand in order to capture the essence of form and space. These models serve him as a creative basis for new design approaches – a combination of design, technology and traditional craftsmanship that has always characterized his work.
In 1990, De Lucchi founded Produzione Privata to design experimental objects away from commercial constraints. The collection includes high-quality glass lamps that are produced in small series and combine Italian design expertise with precision craftsmanship. ACQUAMIKI is a high-quality glass pendant light from Italy, designed by Michele De Lucchi. It stands for elegant, Italian design and perfect craftsmanship. The hand-blown Murano glass lampshade is traditionally handcrafted – Each piece is unique. The low level of standardization in the glass-blowing process leads to individual deviations that underline the unique character of each lamp. The shade is blown in a single cast and encloses the lamp holder in a simple, minimalist way. This clear design language brings the material into focus and gives the luminaire a timeless look. ACQUAMIKI is ideal for use in stylish living areas, elegant kitchens, hotel lobbies or catering establishments, where high-quality lighting objects not only illuminate but also design.
This magnificent piece of Italian glass art is available in the following colors and surfaces: clear glass, clear glass with green tint, with sandblasted surface, glossy white, glossy black glass with white interior color. On request, the luminaire glass is available in mirror semi-transparent (transmirror) in the colors silver and gold.
