Bathroom lights
First of all: bathroom lighting does not necessarily have to be fitted with waterproof luminaires. Bathroom luminaires installed in protection zone 3 do not require a special IP classification. You can find more information on the protection areas here.
This means that significantly more decorative lamps are finding their way into the bathroom. Contrary to what is often assumed, there is no need for particularly bright ambient lighting - it's all a question of taste. However, good illumination of the mirror is desired, and a play light or flat wall light is recommended for this purpose, either above or to the side of the mirror. If you only want to switch the mirror light on when needed, make sure there is a switch on the light or on the supply cable.
Overall, bathroom fittings have evolved significantly towards more comfort and decoration. The pure wet room is passé. Lightness, colorful decoration, wellness functions and luxury fittings have enriched the bathroom interior in recent years.
